Welcome to the Signature of the Week (SOTW) contest!
This contest is rather simple...each week there will be a new signature 'theme' that you must follow and create a signature according to the guidelines. After a week's time, the signatures will be voted on and a winner will be chosen.
So think you have the skills to stomp the competition? Give it a shot!
Guidelines: - Signatures must be 430 pixels wide and 130 pixels tall. - You may use extra images with the one(s) provided. - You must stick to the theme of the week. - Do not use animations unless otherwise stated. - You may use any graphics program you'd like. - Your entry must include your site username. - You may only enter one signature per week. - If your signature won the previous week, you may not enter this week.

Element Benders' Forum Rules
Last Update: August 12th, 2008
[ These rules were given to me by Crazy Towel - no longer a member, and modified by me. ]
Element Benders Forum is presented as a family friendly community, (although we are not going to go insane over a little profanity) but please keep in mind that people as young as 10/12 may read this board.
Punishment for Rule Breaking
Element Benders operates on a warnings policy.
When you break a rule, you get a warning from a staff member in the form of a PM (private message) telling why you have been warned. If you want, you can appeal via PM to the staff member who sent you the warning. However, we are usually lenient in giving warnings, so when you get one it is well deserved 9 times out of 10.
If you get 3 warnings, you are banned for a week.
After that week ban, if you get another warning your username is deleted and you are permanently banned from the board. Your IP Address and E-mail are also banned. The whole point of warnings is to let you know that you are using this board incorrectly, not to bash you on a personal or seniority basis. Remember, everyone on here is equal. From the newest newbie to the oldest, crusty oldbie. Hell, even I have a warning to my name.
The Actual Rules
1) No Spamming (Spam)
This is a big rule and it covers: - Posting 1 word/sentence replies - Posting meaningless replies/topics - Repeated double posting (remember, you can edit and delete your own posts!) - Posting topics in the wrong board - Consistent bad spelling/grammar that could have been easily avoided with the use of spellcheck (ie: No full stops in a post.)
As said before, we are lenient and will not give you a warning for one small mistake that you make.
2) No Discrimination
This covers: -Racism -Sexism -Religious -Personal flaming
These are all looked on as being very serious. You wouldn't use racist language in real life (and if you did, you would probably be carted off to the police) so do not use it online.
3) 18+ or illegal links/images
Do not post images of an illegal or explicit nature on here. As said before, people as young as 10 or 12 browse these forums. If you want to tell people about something funny you found that is a bit risky then link to it and make it clear in your post that it is work safe/mind safe or explicit. The last thing we want is a member grounded from using the computer because he/she clicked on the wrong topic while his/her parent was in the room.
4) No member bashing.
I'm repeating myself, but it's no fun to have someone continually hi-jack threads flaming another member.
5) No staff bashing.
Us staff members get no payment for our labors looking out for the boards, and as such we kindly ask you to respect us. We are not gods, we make mistakes, but don't think you can abuse us.
Lastly:
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF STARTING THREADS!
If you have an idea for a discussion topic, serious or not, do not afraid of starting a topic about it. Just make sure it is in the right forum and does not break any of the above rules (which is amazingly easy) and you are all set.
THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL: If you are not sure, send a PM (private message) to a staff member. For any reason, we will help in any way we can.

Role Play Guidelines « Result #9 on Jul 17, 2008, 9:21pm »
Role Play Guidelines - Please follow these rules when Role Playing in the RPing board -
1. No Power Playing. This means you don't control another member's character's actions unless they give you permission in a post in the RP thread itself, not lin a PM or an IM. This way people aren't confused why you're playing the character.
This is also an example of Power Playing: A: Jumps into the air and attacks Player B, hitting them square on the back and knocking them to the ground. In this situation, Player B had no control over the attack from Player A. They had no chance of defending or countering. Instead, play it like this: A: Jumps into the air and attacks Player B, trying to hit them on the back to knock them to the ground. Then Player B and choose to either receive the attack or defend.
2. When you are going to make a new RP, the first post must include:
Plot: (what's going to happen in the RP) Available Characters: (a list of the main characters available, please cross out the ones that are taken. This is optional, there does not have to be any main characters in a RP) OC: (a list of characters people made-up that are being used) OC Form: (what people must include about their other character - OC)
3. If an RP thread has been going on for more than one page and you decide to join, look at the first page to see what characters are still available and what the plot is. Don't post in the thread asking the players to explain, you can easily do it yourself.
4. To expand on number 3 above, if you are joining a long RP thread please read back a few posts or pages so you know what's going on. Don't post in OOC (out of character) a bunch of times asking the RPers.
5. Mild cursing is allowed in both OOC and IC (in character), but no bashing/flaming.
6. Before you start posting in a RP the creator must accept you and add your character on the list.
7. You may RP about anything you like as long as it's somehow related to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
8. If you have an OC that you RP most of the time, please post their profile in the 'Character Profiles' board so you don't have to post their profile every time you join a new thread. When you want to RP the character just post a link to the profile.
-- If you are confused about anything or have questions PM a staff member or the creator of the RP thread.
1) No advertising of any kind, if you wish to exchange links please PM or E-mail the administrator.
2) Do not pretend to be someone you're not. If anyone does this, they will be permanently banned from the CBox.
3) Even though this is a CBox don't use too much chat talk. It's still hard to read no matter where you use it. Things like 'lol' and 'omg' can be used though.
4) Do not cuss on this CBox. It's allowed around the forum, but not on the CBox.
I'm actually only 17 years old. My profile age is incorrect.
